The story of the figurative Adam and Eve is a lesson much needed for men in today’s world. More often than not, we see men making the same mistake our forebears made. Aside from the mystical meaning of Genesis, which makes proper sense and in which light the book of Genesis is supposed to be understood, let’s take a look at the literary understanding of Genesis. Obviously, there is a thing or two to be learned.
But first, the mystical meaning might help shed light. According to the Bible, the world was void and without form in the beginning. That there is a clue to understanding who was created first. To be without form and void represents a feminine character. Just as in our natural world, a woman is not much until being impregnated by a man, so too it was with God and the universe. So the question remains, what came first, God or the Universe, the chicken or the egg? It is for this reason logical minds think women must have been created first. But that is outside the scope of this article. It is only made mention of that I can get to the cross of it. The focus here is on the lesson men can draw from the literal explanation of Genesis.
So while the world was void and without form, God came and spoke order into the formless void. God represents a masculine authority in this instance. But if truth be told, the formless void and God are one and the same. Just like man and his consciousness. Consciousness represents that formless void while man is there to shape the consciousness to whatever he desires to create in his world. So which came first, consciousness or man? But the truth is, one cannot separate both. All ancient cultures said the same thing but with different languages and symbols. It was the Chinese Ying Yang philosophy that depicted the story most successfully.
Applying this to the relationship dynamics between men and women, we know instinctively that women are chaotic by design. They are ruled by instincts and emotions as against men who are ruled by logic and reason. Both are supposed to be complementary like the Ying Yang.
Now, that does not mean that they are equal, both need each other for harmony and balance. But just as God and the Universe or generic man with consciousness, men are there to lead, to bring order. Whatever the institution, a man is needed to bring order. That job is not meant for a woman. This was the very mistake of the generic Adam. He placed Eve above himself. Instead of emphasizing his authority, he yielded to the sweet words of Eve who doesn’t know what she needs or what is good for her. That right there, is the problem when men absolve themselves from responsibilities. They are led astray when they don’t know who they are. It would seem since then that men have not recovered from that fall. We have seen this time and again in the helms of family, business, or political affairs. How many children are suffering because they lack a masculine presence in their lives?
This takes us to the other side of the coin. No kidding, men have due to this fall forgotten their inherent authority. They think that they are men not knowing that they are gods in human form. They have placed women above themselves almost to the status of a goddess that needs to be worshipped. It was Jerr, the author of “The Wall Speaks” who phrased it to the point. He said;
“A man who lowers himself to his woman has hell above.”
Now why can’t women be trusted with responsibilities? Should we agree with feminists who say that they are self-sufficient enough to raise kids on their own without masculine authority? To answer the question is not necessary. Any logical being can answer that but alas women are not logical. They are guided more by intuition and emotions than by logic and reason. 99% of the time, if you are trying to get a woman to see the logic of an argument, you are only wasting your time. They listen more to their emotions. When it comes to responsibilities, while emotion and intuition may help in some ways, they will eventually fail us if we rely on them.
Women in their ignorance sometimes forget that Nature has blessed them with a role that no man can fulfill. That alone should make them proud. But to go so far as to say they can do whatever a man can do is drawing a line to demarcate where their wisdom ends. This is what the feminists of our time have made us believe. But what reality and history have shown us is the reverse of the case.
Just as any great empire cannot thrive without the influence of men, children cannot become all-round successful if they lack a masculine figure to direct them. It is not enough for a child to grow physically. A child also needs to grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This is where a man comes in. A man’s job is not only to protect and provide physically, but it also includes protecting and providing spiritually. Unfortunately, men have failed in this regard. When we look at the history of religion, it is indeed sad to see the ugliness of it all. The bloodshed and deception. It is only in recent history that they tend to be civilized. While the bloodshed has reduced to a large extent, the deception continues to grow on a massive scale. How can men be contented to allow their children to be brainwashed into believing that there is a physical fire they will burn for all eternity if they don’t follow the commandments of their religion to the dot? The psychological damage done to these kids cannot even be measured. In most cases, a lifetime is not enough to be healed from such damage. How pathetic when lives are wasted in this regard. It would be better, far better, if such lives were substituted for that ants. Life is the best gift we can ever hope for. But to be gifted with life and not living that life to the full is but wasting the life. It is indeed a tragic sight. Now, don’t get me wrong, religion is not all that bad. Of course, there is a beautiful aspect of it. Unfortunately, most who have been brainwashed think that without religion, one cannot be moral. This is tantamount to saying without a music school, one cannot be a musician. The moment we are born we are equipped to live life justly. Children don’t need religion to tell them that certain things are wrong. Even dogs sometimes know when they step out of line. They become shy as if to say I am sorry.
So, it is no longer news that our religious and educational institutions have failed us, what is intriguing to the logical mind is how come we still subscribe to these institutions, or has the mind been so dull that we can’t use it anymore to analyze? It was for this reason we were equipped with a mind to pierce reality. But alas, we have been so conditioned by religion that to use the mind to explore reality is wrong. We are told in the Bible that God wiped a whole bunch of kids under two years old because of one reason or the other and we have been conditioned to accept that and not question the rationality behind that. What God kills children? This is the kind of God we want our kids to believe in. It is a failure on the part of men to allow this to be instilled in their children.
Accepted, we have failed in that aspect. But let us not fail in standing up as men protecting our dignity.
If any endeavour is going to be successful, it is up to men to see to it. A woman, being imprisoned by her biology and emotions cannot successfully lead. Leading requires a sort of mental clarity. But when emotion clouds our mental faculties, a good decision cannot be reached. Men should know this and act accordingly. If a woman is not willing to follow your lead, let her go. Draw your boundaries and accept nothing less than respect.
